Who we are
ONDLINGUA LTD is the controller for the personal data of interpreters, applicants, client contacts, prospects, suppliers, visitors to this site and staff. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller, registration number ZC274330. For the personal data of service users — the people our interpreters speak with — we act as a processor on behalf of the client organisation that booked the session. Data-processing terms are part of our contract pack and are agreed at contract stage.
What we collect
Account identifiers, organisation affiliation, the booking details you enter (language, mode, timing, location, reference fields such as a cost centre or patient reference, and any note for the interpreter), session metadata (duration, time), and for the phone line the caller's number and the option chosen. We do not record sessions and we do not collect their content.
How we use it
Personal data is used to authenticate users, route requests to cleared interpreters, settle and report charges, keep audit logs, and to comply with statutory obligations under UK GDPR. It is not used for marketing or advertising profiling.
Sharing
Data is shared with the interpreter assigned to your session, your organisation's billing contact, and our infrastructure sub-processors: Hetzner Online (hosting, Germany), Cloudflare (network), Resend (email) and Twilio (telephony). Video calls run on our own Jitsi bridge in Germany, not on a third-party platform. A current sub-processor list is available on request. Cross-border transfers use Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, or data portability under UK GDPR. Requests to [email protected] receive a substantive response within one month; for a complex request we may extend that by up to two further months, and we will tell you if so.
